The message on this line is updated and available 24 hours a day, making it the fastest way to access information about pet food assistance for those facing food insecurity for pets in Fresno. This service will also keep you informed about any last-minute changes to our schedule or location. Our current distribution site is at the Fresno Animal Center, located at 5277 E Airways Blvd, Fresno, CA 93727 (inside the community room on the far right of the building).

The Fresno Animal Center generously allows us to use their space to hold our monthly pantries aimed at addressing food insecurity for pets. Although we operate a few times a year from the shelter, we are a separate organization. Please refrain from contacting the shelter for Halo information. Any inquiries about our pet food assistance program can be directed to us through our contact channels.

Spay/Neuter Certificates for ALL your dogs and cats are available to help combat food insecurity for pets. If your pets are not yet fixed, you can return for pet food assistance once they are. If you’re actively working on spaying or neutering one each month, you can return with proof. By saving money on food through programs at the Fresno Animal Center, you should be able to afford the spay/neuter surgery at one of the low-cost clinics. If you need help getting them fixed, we're here to assist you.

To qualify, please provide Low-Income Verification documents (such as EBT card, MediCal, SSI/Disability/Unemployment Benefit Letter, or paystub) along with a Photo ID.

Once you present these documents, you'll become a Fast Pass Member and receive a punch card to bring to every visit. This card is renewed yearly, speeds up your food pickup, and grants you 3 or 6 visits per year. Remember, the Christmas Pantry is an open freebie for all and doesn't count towards your regular visits.

You cannot add new pets beyond those listed during your initial enrollment at Fresno Animal Center. Focus on spaying/neutering and maintaining your primary pets first. Adding more animals to your household indicates that you have the funds to care for new ones and do not require our pet food assistance.

We provide TEMPORARY AID to struggling families facing food insecurity for pets. Please do not take food if you can afford to feed your pets, as there are others in truly difficult situations.

If during your next visit you have not made progress, we will be unable to provide food assistance until your pets are spayed/neutered. Pet owners only receive one visit without proof, and afterwards will be turned away until we receive the necessary spay/neuter documents.

Our mission is to promote Pet Retention by addressing food insecurity for pets and preventing unwanted pregnancies.

Please note, we do not provide assistance to breeders.

Well-socialized pets are welcome at the pantry. Our favorite part of each distribution is meeting our furry clients, snapping a photo of them, and highlighting their super-cuteness on our Facebook page.
